BUILT FOR EFFICIENCY
How our Mapper tool works
Our scientific algorithms and AI processing take Authority Documents written with long Citations that call for multiple mandates, usually in long-winded paragraphs, and tag each Mandate’s primary and secondary nouns and verbs, creating a clear picture of what is indeed required of your organization.

A Mapping Tool that does the work for you
Compliance professionals are busy, so we’ll get right to the point: your mapping process can be more efficient. We can help; UCF Mapper® can streamline your guidelines and standards by mapping your documents professionally, efficiently, and in the most credible way possible. At Unified Compliance, we are process fanatics, testing tyrants, and perfection hunters; we eat complexity for breakfast. What can we say? We’re obsessed with efficiency. Our mapping makes your compliance work easy. Full stop. UCF Mapper® is here to simplify your life and provide peace of mind.

No more manual mapping
We dedupe and harmonize your controls better than anyone.

Separate Citations into multiple mandates
In the Unified Compliance Framework (UCF), mandates are identified and tagged within Citations. Did you know Every Citation can contain one or more mandates? Depending on the type of Citation, it is not always required. For example, Stubs, Informational, and Information Gathering Citations are types of Citations that do not contain mandates. Once a mandate is identified and tagged in the UCF, it is mapped to a harmonized UCF Common Control. This helps compare and contrast mandates across various Authority Documents.

Link tagged terms to their actual definition
With the UCF Mapper®, there is no more “guessing” what a term means. Each noun and verb tagged is linked to the definition that applies to that Mandate in that scenario. Most terms have multiple definitions. Not only do you have to tag the correct verbs and nouns, but you are also required to tag the definitions for how the term is used in the sentence. We have to disambiguate what writers mean when they are writing by tagging each of the verbs and nouns with their meanings in the context of the Citation and Mandate being examined. That in context part is the most essential part to remember.

MORE QUESTIONS
Mapper FAQs
Have questions? We have answers! Welcome to our FAQ section, where we've gathered the most commonly asked questions about our products/services.
What is Compliance Mapping?
Compliance Mapping is the process of crosswalking one Citation’s Mandates to another Citation’s Mandates. An older methodology matches Citation to Citation in a matrix; the newer methodology matches each Citation to a Common Control in a star pattern.
How much does the UCF Mapper® cost?
UCF mapper is an add-on to the CCH subscription and costs $5,000.
How many people will I need on the UCF Mapper® team?
You will need three people to fill the roles of Mapper, Reviewer, and Approver.
Can I add more compliance dictionary entries?
Unless the Authority Document is destined to be generally available, no new dictionary entries will be permitted.
After a mapper document is added, where can I see them?
The mapped documents will be visible in the Common Controls Hub the following business day after the project is completed. The documents can be selected in the CCH Workspace and added to Authority Document lists.
Why did Unified Compliance create UCF Mapper®?
We created UCF Mapper as an add-on to the Common Controls Hub (the SaaS portal to the data in the UCF) to allow governance professionals to map regulations relevant to their own industries into the Common Controls Hub library for their own use and significantly reduce the cost and complexity of ensuring compliance.
